the back and forth
The meditation for tonight incorporated a mantra of "I am letting go." We like to think that it's just odd when things like that happen, when you select a random YouTube video of the yoga lady you like that just happens to use a phrase that has everything to do with your life right this moment. But it isn't.
Yes, random things occur, but there is a different between random and intentional.
See, random is when instances arise during some sort of free fall that you are in and sometimes you see them and sometimes you don't because you are not in the state of mind or soul to be seeking the light. Intentional acts are moments that you are mentally and spiritually enlightened by in the current state of being as you are seeking the light.
The journey of self-discovery brings up painful parts of ourselves only to assist in our ability to heal. Despite this awareness, we can struggle to move past the pain. I am not saying that we don't want to move past the pain; we do, yet we suffer in an ongoing fashion.
We become paralyzed in the pain.
It isn't enough to feel the pain. When you get caught up in feeling the pain you cannot understand it. That is the one way we can deal with pain, resting into it and embracing it in order to understand it. The next step to address the pain and move past the paralyzing state is to release it. Once we find the pain, the source, we must let it go or the satisfaction we feel from identifying it is merely temporary.
Being positive is not always easy. Quite the opposite. We must seek the light in all situations. Especially in order to find the power to shift out of the pain. It's a choice. And tonight I was gifted an intentional reminder how to move forward from a place of hurt in a manner that will genuinely heal me.
