stretch & resistance
"Just give hope a chance to float up...and it will." Hope Floats.
Randomly scrolling through Facebook and see the above quote on a dear friends' recent status. The same friend that earlier tonight I realized I hadn't seen all summer even though I had been trying to travel to see since March. So I called her, and after tucking in her son she called me back; I said I was thinking about coming to see her and her family this upcoming weekend - she's free and she's preaching!
God is amazing. If you are still enough in your heart to pay attention to his pulls and nudges, you find yourself in places and positions you couldn't have even pictured before.
Yoga was active and refreshing this morning. There was a beautiful balance between the warmth of the sun through the floor to ceiling windows and breeze of the fans. We worked through a well-balanced from that insisted on the strong focus of breath within each pose and transition.
The class highlighted the importance of exercising for both flexibility and for strength. When the balance is tipped one side of the scale or the other, the off setting feeling risks spilling out and over into each part of life. Placing energy into only one area of life causes others to deplete. The two depend on each other.
Do not starve one for the other. Feed them equally. Pour into yourself evenly so that you fill the potential in all areas.
