the ebb
It is a gradual process, yoga and love. The reducing of oneself into difficult poses. The compromising that must be made to share a world with another. Class today was incredible. Although I was in a ranting mode blasting my music on the way to the studio, I knew that I it would be all better when I got in and on the mat.
In church we had an incredible guest speaker, Dr. Davison who spoke this sermon of Rahab and her story of being "deemed an outsider by society but named an insider by God." After the church service and luncheon, she shared a lecture regarding what the bible says and does not say regarding homosexuality. She introduced the idea of the first human being both male and female, and that the fact that God split Eve from Adam so that they could procreate. Meaning that the battle phrase of close minded people everywhere "Eve not Steve" is worthless as our current world population does not need populating. Therefore, God we are truly designed to seek our other half.
Laying on my back today, heart open thanks to the two blocks underneath my back, arms out to the side. Heart opening poses are the most vulnerable.
People are irrationally fearful. To combat it and to seek calmness we must be vulnerable. Both in yoga and in love.
