build momentum from within

It isn't enough to settle. The decision to rest the ambitious drive for the once-upon-a-time dream from childhood is the most detrimental choice of a lifetime. Releasing the hope for that future is the same as deleting it from the memory bank. Like a "permanently delete" of the hard-drive. Non-recoverable. The only remnants may be a ghost code that provides one piece of the puzzle that was once an aspiration.

See, settling kills inspiration. It negates progress and accepts stagnancy. No one pushes for the be all because it's hard. And what is hard is not often sought after as time goes on and a lifetime intercepts hardships. The offer to rest at the current location within this ongoing game of Life always looms above promising a version of peace only to actually be complacency.

Settling is weak. So it is guarded by a wall of rationales, excuses cloaked in logic only to be chipped away by the anal-retentiveness of childhood wishes and daydreams. But in the later phases of this journey, the repetition of ignoring the haunting thoughts of what could have been override the internal light attempting to break through the cracks of the wall reaching out in an attempt to streak through the darkness.

The ability to salvage the original light from the childhood is impossible. However, the new light trying to illuminate the monochromatic frames of routine is a new version of that ghost code that never really left the internal hard-drive. It was just overwritten and lost in the chaos of items thought to be required in this phase of life, but are not. Instead, the clutter overpowers the original intent and is only saved by a clean sweep and careful examination of what is true to the core.

It starts from within. From the core. What's inside.
